Patrick Sewell is the charismatic managing director of Hull-based Top 50 Indie Sewell on the go, the only UK forecourt operator to have secured a place in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For list in the UK, placing it at number one in Yorkshire. It is part of a 140-year-old family business, the Sewell Group, and has strong roots in the community, which it continues to develop with its constant engagement with local charities and initiatives. It recently became one of the first members of the Safe Places scheme, which is designed to help people who feel lost, confused or frightened while they are out and about.
The company prides itself on its great customer service, and constantly evolving forecourt convenience operations. Its strategy is to maintain great partnerships across its network, such as BP, Costa and Subway.
The company has 13 sites and its constant pursuit of excellence has earned it both national and international acclaim, including winning the top accolade of Forecourt Trader of the Year Award in 2009 and 2016, among many awards presented across its network.
Patrick is a keen and active supporter of both the PRA and the ACS, of which he has been chairman since October 2016.
