Forecourt Trader of the Year Awards
Dedicated to recognising and rewarding the hard work and skills of petrol retailers nationwide, the Forecourt Trader of the Year Awards highlight those businesses which have displayed high standards of professionalism in an increasingly competitive sector.
To be chosen as Forecourt Trader of the Year is the highest accolate for any petrol retailer. It is recognition of entrepreneurial skills, imagination and dedicated in running a successful business.
There is also a cash prize of £3,000 for the overall winner of Forecourt Trader of the Year
All finalists are invited to the awards dinner as part of an all-expenses paid night out at the Park Lane Hilton, London, on Thursday 24th September 2009, giving them the chance to mix with everybody who's anybody in the industry - retailers, oil company executives and suppliers.
Open To All
Whether you are an independent dealer with a large chain or a small rural site; an oil company franchisee in a main road location; or a manager on an oil company-owned site, there is a category for you. Firstly, the groupings are by type of operation:
- Rural
- Neighbourhood
- Main Route
Retailers are then categorised by the following ownership status:
- Oil company/supermarket-owned and managed
- Oil company-owned/franchisee/commission agent
- Independent dealer with up to nine site
- Independent dealer with 10 sites or more
Finalists in each category will compete for the overall title of Best Rural Retailer, Best Neighbourhood Retailer, and Best Main Route Retailer. And, regardless of ownership/operation, there will also be one award for Best Motorway Site. The overall Forecourt Trader of the Year winner will be chosen from these four category winners.
Specialist Categories
Retailers can also enter as many specialist award categories as they wish.
