Brought to you by Forecourt Trader, now celebrating its 25th year, the Forecourt Trader of the Year Awards are the showcase for the petrol retailing industry. The awards are a measure of the high operating standards and entrepreneurial skills demonstrated by petrol retailers nationwide, who set the standards to which others aspire.
To be chosen as Forecourt Trader of the Year is the highest accolade for any petrol retailer. It is recognition of entrepreneurial skill, imagination and dedication in running a successful business.
All finalists are invited to the awards dinner at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel, London, on Thursday 20th September 2012, giving them the chance to mix with retailers, oil company executives and suppliers.
The awards structure
The Forecourt Trader of the Year Awards give all retailers, big or small the chance to be named the best Forecourt Retailer in their region. The main retailer categories are grouped by two main criteria - region and fuel volume.
There are six regions as follows:
- Scotland
- Northern Ireland
- Midlands
- Northern England
- West Country & Wales
- London & South East
There are two fuel volume categories producing two overall winners in each region:
Up to 2.5mlpa
Over 2.5mlpa
The winners of these categories will be called: ‘Best ‘Small' forecourt retailer in Scotland', or Best ‘Large' forecourt retailer in Ireland. The two categories will then compete to produce one winner, for example: ‘Best Scottish forecourt retailer'; Best London & South East forecourt retailer'.
The overall Forecourt Trader of the Year winner will be chosen from the six regional winners.
Specialist Categories
Retailers can also enter as many specialist award categories as they wish.
